How to Subscribe to this Blog

Many thanks to all of you who took my recent survey! You asked for it, and here it is: instructions on how to subscribe to this blog. Once you subscribe you'll get an update every time I make a post, so you don't need to remember to check out the blog every day to see if there is something new. And since I'm now posting at least 3-4 times a week, and sometimes daily, you won't want to miss a single post!

You have two options for subscribing:

On the left hand side of these instructions on this blog page you'll see a box that says "SUBSCRIBE VIA EMAIL ".

Enter your email address in the yellow box at the left and then click on the "Subscribe me" button underneath the box. Copies of new posts will be emailed directly to you at the address you listed, and the email will contain a link directly to the blog as well as to other recent posts.

Via RSS Feed
If you haven't learned about Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feeds, I'll make this, well, really simple! RSS feeds merely feed new posts from a blog you subscribe to directly to a folder on an RSS reader. If you use Outlook, as I know many of you do, this couldn't be simpler, because Outlook is already set up as a reader and puts your RSS feeds into designated folders for you. the advantage to you is that they don't get mixed up in your regular email this way and are neatly tucked into a folder.

Right under the Email sign up box to the left you'll see this a box that says "SUBSCRIBE VIA RSS FEED". Simply click on the box with the RSS symbol (the little orange square) that says "Posts" and you'll get a drop down box to select the reader you use. Either select your reader or if you use Outlook, then click on the last one called "Atom".

You'll be taken to a screen that looks like something like this at the top:

You are viewing a feed that contains frequently updated content. When you subscribe to a feed, it is added to the Common Feed List. Updated information from the feed is automatically downloaded to your computer and can be viewed in Internet Explorer and other programs. Learn more about feeds.
